Azim Premji Foundation Announces Fellowship Programme 2018

Mumbai: Azim Premji Foundation has announced its annual Fellowship Programme. Applications for this programme are invited from people having 3 to 10 years of work experience, with a full-time postgraduate or a 4 year professional degree in any discipline and the desire to contribute to quality and equity in education. Proficiency in the local language is a must and candidates should be open to relocate to the districts where Azim Premji Foundation operates. The selection is based on an online test followed by personal interviews. The programme aims to give a grounded experience of the educational and social space to a broad range of people across sectors. It is a 2 year full-time programme, beginning March 2018 where the first year will involve teaching in government schools and participating in the activities of the Field Institutes of the Foundation. The second year would be focused on capacity building of the Fellows, preparing them for roles they can play in the Field Institutes after completing the Fellowship.

After an induction, Fellows will be posted in the blocks of the districts of Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Puducherry, Rajasthan, Telangana and Uttarakhand, where the Foundation currently works through its Field Institutes.
