The Indian cyber security market is estimated to be valued, at US $1,333.65 million by the end of 2020, growing at a CAGR of 9.44%. With massive adoption of ‘Digital India Initiative’, India Needs to be well prepared to fight cybercrime with robust regulations, legal frameworks, and implementable laws which is well falling in place today. Acting as the first and a strong layer of security on the network front, Next Generation Firewall (NGFW) is expected to see an increase in the use among all products of Network Security. Along with Firewall, data security solutions too will be seeing a massive adoption. With the increased Adoption of Cloud, BYOD and recent regulations in Personal Data Protection etc. across industry verticals in India , security solution that will not just protect but also prevent an cyberattack will be expected to observe an exponential growth over the next few years.
4. What are some technologies (both backend and frontend) GajShield puts to use that position themselves ahead of competitors, and more importantly cyber felons?
Ans: As far as technology is concerned, we believe in technology that helps in securing data by enabling complete network visibility to an enterprise. For this, we have developed a technology called as “Contextual Intelligence Engine”, unique to us, this helps in identifying important datapoints to create contextual information of an application and its data for securing from internal and external, both intentional and unintentional threats.
On the back end we have our Operating system GajOS: Bulwark 4.0, that becomes the backbone and bring great visibility for better reporting and policy management that is key to cybersecurity and Governance.
Our Network based Data Leak Prevention solution is considered to be the best in the industry. This DLP technology uses our Contextual Intelligence Engine as a base and works on Various Policies that helps in gaining better control of data in motion.
Enterprise Cloud as a solution helps in securing roaming user base that are prone to threats and an easy gateway for cyberattacks. Our solution helps in bringing them to a secured network, by enforcing and routing all traffic through the cloud firewall (public or private) As a result of which, regardless of wherever the user is, all the traffic passes through the firewall which helps to monitor complete network activity and all the communication & interaction.
5. What are the challenges that Indian CIOs face in handling cybersecurity risks? And How well is Gajshield equipped to combat such challenges?
Ans: The challenge that CIOs face today is with the growing adoption of cloud technologies. To handle such an infrastructure while defending it from growing cyber-attacks, one need complete visibility of all the network activities to have control over it. GajShield as a Brand is equipped with technologies that helps to overcome these challenges. We strongly believe in visibility as the key for cyber security and understand its need as a base to maintain control over network. We have solutions that aims at creating real time network visibility with the help of our GajOS 4.0 Bulwark for stronger and granular reporting and Contextual Intelligence Engine for contextual information that helps in better network visibility for helping decision making to control network activity by setting up policies for a much manageable network environment.
6. Your opinion on Indian Data Protection law and how do you think it is going to affect India??
Though in lines with EU’s GDPR regulations, The Indian Data Protection bill is well drafted to redefine the way Indian enterprises gather, handle, and use their customers’ and employees’ personal information. The bill requires businesses to adopt reasonable policies, practices, and measures for handling personal information to avoid data leaks and breach of privacy. It also aims at having Indian data be stored within Indian Boundary, this reduces accesses to data by other country.
Indians will see a greater impact of such a law as historically, companies have floated rules and have breached and have misused data by not respecting privacy of an individual. Companies will now be responsible for not only respecting privacy of an individual, but also to ensure safeguard information that they have obtained of such an person.
7. Which all products/ Solutions does the company have in its extensive portfolio?

With the whole world moving towards the cloud, we are proud to be one of the few to have deployed virtual firewalls to take care security for cloud computing and cloud data management needs.
